We live in a world that seems fixated on the differences between people, races, religions, and nations. Doing so can help us understand our world, where we fit in, and how to behave around certain groups. But constantly focusing on our differences often leads to distrust, separation, conflict, and the marginalization of entire groups of people. A healthier perspective that can elevate happiness for everyone is to recognize that we share far more similarities as humans than we do differences. We have common physical attributes, we share 99 percent of the same DNA, and we have similar emotions and aspirations for ourselves and our loved ones. By learning to embrace six universal truths about humanity, we can produce far more positive outcomes in our lives, reduce our biases, develop deeper friendships, collaborate on challenges, and create stronger unity in our communities. Now, that sounds like the kind of planet we all want to live on, together. Guest: Dr. Michael Glauser
