Founder Isaac Alfton came up with the TriggerGive idea after one too many annoying political posts showed up on his social media feeds, and decided to do something about it. After being frustrated at non-stop political cheap shots on his social media feed, instead of replying with a witty comment, he just made a donation to the opposing side. That idea turned into the startup he now heads, which lets users donate directly to non-profits by simply using hashtags on social media.
