Choose Your Reader: Fueling Literacy, Language Acquisition and Meaningful Relationships

Mike Coles loved reading stories to his young son, but his frequent travel schedule and subsequent divorce introduced a dilemma that inspired a creative solution to maintain the cherished tradition. Turning to technology, what began as a way to record himself reading stories to his son to hear in his absence, would ultimately become a new product that teaches children to read and speak various languages while also strengthening families across generations. In this episode, Mike shares how his love and desire to remain connected to his son ultimately took him on the quest to building a mobile application which also allows him to realize a powerful and personally meaningful vision that betters the world.
